I created a variety of Valentine Day cards this year. It is so much fun to create cards for those I love!
Have a love-ly day!

I am looking forward to a successful and crafty New Year for 2020. I want to learn more about free motion quilting and machine embroidery. Those items are on my list of things to do for this year. I also plan to get back to doing some scrapbooking and downloading pictures that have been sitting in the cloud. I am sure we all can relate to that.
Finally, I plan to strive to become healthier this year. My plan is to exercise more and try some new healthy recipes. My goal is to eat less meat and ramp up on fruits and veggies! Getting my hubby to eat less meat will probably be the challenge!
This morning I made my traditional New Year’s Day turnip greens. They are so delicious and I do make them without any meat products.
I always dice some jalapeño and cook with them. So Yummy!I am also cooking Swedish meatballs with egg noodles. Supposedly noodles bring lots of luck throughout the year.
Have a great day!

This week’s Die Cuttin’ Divas challenge is to create a card using the sketch below:
I created the following card using the sketch. I had some scrap pieces of paper and some handy die cuts to add to this card. The hardest part of creating this card for me was taking the picture without getting a reflection on the gold metallic paper. Let me know what you think.

This week the Die Cuttin’ Divas challenge is an anything goes creation. So, for my project I cut out these adorable little boxes using patterned paper. If you notice the papers have a beachy flair to them for those summertime packages! I used the Fancy Box die by Lawn Fawn to cut the box. This die comes with adorable cut outs you can choose to use. I used both and the sentiment dies that were included. I added some acetate to the cut outs so that the box would be complete. I just adore these cute little boxes! They are big enough to put candies, gift cards, or other trinkets inside. If you use double-sided papers they show off the other side of the paper when you open the box.

This week’s Die Cuttin Divas challenge is to create 3D projects. I made this set of easel stand-up tag & pocket cards using Graphic 45 papers. This challenge was a lot of fun! I plan to put these cards together in a pretty box and gift as a set. I think they will be much appreciated!
This is a an up close look at one of the cards. You can see how the tags come out of the pocket to personalize with your own thoughts and sentiments.

This weeks challenge with the Die Cuttin’ Divas was to use either dry or heat embossing on a card. For the card I created, I used dry embossing for the yellow background. I just love how the dots are raised and add so much texture to this lovely flower card. Dry embossing adds so much dimension to your cards.

The Die Cuttin’ Divas Challenge this week is themed for Tropical or Summer. I decided to use these lovely tropical images by Hero Arts to create my card. Looking at this card makes me want to be in that hammock reading a good book with the ocean breeze nearby! I created the background tropical frame using the Hero Arts Jungle Frame die. I just love how this card turned out.

With summertime comes adventure! So, to get in the mood for the sweltering heat I had to make this fun card. I just adore this tiger image from Hero Arts June Kit of the Month! I used Jungle Palette watercolors included in the kit and stencil to create the colorful background. The frame is called Jungle Frame and I cut it with metallic papers. I added the tiger (I am thinking Amazon Jungle and Bengal) and colored him with Copics.
I hope you have an adventurous summer and do something fun and exciting!
